Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
Submit the carrier inquiry form on our Contact page with information about your equipment, preferred lanes, and dispatch needs. TSS Logistics Group will review the information and follow up with you.
Do I choose which loads I take?
Yes. You maintain control of your operation and make the final decision on every load. TSS Logistics Group does not use forced dispatch.
What equipment do you dispatch?
We provide dispatch support for qualified dry van, reefer, flatbed, box truck, hotshot, and cargo van operators. Freight availability varies by equipment type, location, carrier qualifications, and current market conditions.
Do you negotiate rates with brokers?
Yes. We communicate with brokers and negotiate rates and load terms based on the lane, equipment, load requirements, and current market conditions. The carrier decides whether to accept the load.
Are you a freight broker?
No. TSS Logistics Group currently provides independent dispatch services and does not represent itself as a licensed freight broker.
What does TSS Logistics Group do?
TSS Logistics Group provides independent freight dispatch support for owner-operators and small fleets. Services include load searching, rate negotiation, broker communication, broker setup assistance, load planning, dispatch support, and document coordination.
Do you guarantee loads, rates, or income?
No. Freight availability, rates, and revenue vary based on market conditions, equipment, operating authority, carrier qualifications, location, scheduling, and other factors.
What do I need to get started?
Carrier onboarding may require your company information, DOT and MC information if applicable, W-9, certificate of insurance, equipment details, preferred lanes, contact information, and dispatch preferences.
Can you work with new carriers?
Potentially. New authorities may have fewer available broker and freight options because some brokers require minimum authority age or operating history. We can review your operation and discuss available options.
